Dr. Chan's funded project aims to couple qubits on different chips fabricated in the same package using flip chip technology, with the goal of demonstrating ways to scale up Diraq's quantum processing units. The competitive nature of this fellowship is evidenced by the 8% success rate, with only 25 out of 314 applications receiving funding.
